How to post a workflow as screenshots
Low effort posts to show how you work on Litterae, part 2
Screenshots are the lowest effort post on Litterae, because you aren't making anything. The artefacts already exist. You did the work, the evidence is sitting in your history and posting it takes about as long as finding it.
Use screenshots when the workflow is prompts, a build, an automation or anything with a visible interface. Three or four images in order, cropped to remove whatever you don't want public.
The mistake most people make is screenshotting the result. The result is the least interesting part and it's the part everyone shows. Screenshot the input instead: the prompt you wrote, the thing you configured, the moment you made a choice between two options. That's how you show what you can do.
If you're screenshotting prompts, screenshot them without the answers. The prompt is the transferable thing. Someone can take it and run it against their own work, which is far more useful than reading what it said to you about yours.
Caption it plainly. Say what the screenshots are and what they produced. No preamble, no "excited to share". Tag the tool, what you do and what you're open to.
